Toilet Learning Workshop

Parents are often surprised about how early children start the process of toilet learning at Austin Montessori School. Although it is fascinating to see such young children being independent in their toileting skills at school, it is a skill young children can also develop equally successfully at home. During this workshop, we will learn about the difference between toilet training versus toilet learning; give you ideas on setting up a bathroom prepared to foster your child's independence while mastering the toilet at home; offer guidance and insights on how to prepare the adults to support your child's quest for autonomy. Please bring your questions; we have ideas!  Our next presentation on "Toilet Learning: From Diapers to Conquering the Throne" is on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 9 a.m. This event will be held via the Zoom platform.
