As we pause to celebrate our full-cycle students, I find myself thinking of this group in particular as our “sunrise group.” Quite literally, these are the young adults who persuaded our entire class to hike to see the sunrise. Multiple times. Which means organizing, which means getting up early, which means groggily calling to one another that it’s time. All to chase a view, to see something together: something fleeting and beautiful and communal.
