At Austin Montessori School, our Elementary communities are thoughtfully designed to nurture children from ages 6 to 12 as they grow through the Elementary years and into early adolescence. Guided by Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy, our Elementary Guides receive specialized training in Cosmic Education, an integrated approach that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and a lifelong love of learning. Our Elementary program is built on a foundation of core academic subjects, math, language, history, science, music, and the arts, all enriched by real-world experiences beyond the classroom, including "Going Out" excursions, camping, and community service. This holistic approach supports each child's intellectual, emotional, and social development.
The presentation is led by Nadine Gardener, Director of Elementary Programs, who introduces the Cosmic Education curriculum and explains how it meets the evolving needs of elementary-aged children. Attendees are also invited to a follow-up in-person session to meet our Guides and explore the program environment firsthand.
