Austin Montessori School ("AMS," "we," "our") respects the privacy of the families who visit this website and share information with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Personal Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry form (powered by EnquiryTracker), you may provide your name, email, phone number, mailing address, your child's name and age, and any notes you choose to share (collectively "Personal Information"). When you register for an admissions event, we collect similar details. "Personal Information" means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and also includes information referred to as "personally identifiable information," "personal information," or "personal data" under applicable data privacy laws, rules, or regulations.

Personal Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site, including pages viewed, time on page, general location, and device type. This information is collected through cookies. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of Google Analytics, which we do not own, control, or manage.

You may visit our website without providing any Personal Information, although we will collect certain analytics information.

Personal Identifiers. If you contact us to obtain information about our services, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number along with other information you may choose to submit.

Payment Information. If you pay for our services through our website, we may collect your telephone number, postal address, email address, payment type, bank account number, credit or debit card number, verification number, and expiration date. Your bank account number and credit and debit card numbers are managed by our payment processor partners.

Information you submit. We will collect the information you submit to us about yourself and about others, including your children. By providing information to us, you agree to our collection and use as described in this Privacy Policy.

Device Information. We may collect and/or use third-party website analytics tools that collect information about visitor traffic on our website, including IP address, unique personal identifiers, device ID, device type, browser and operating system type, and mobile ad identifiers.

Location and Network Activity Information. We also may use third-party website analytics tools, including cookies, web beacons, and pixels, that collect information about visitor traffic on our website. The types of automated information we may obtain using these tools include but are not limited to (i) search terms used to connect to our website and search within our website; (ii) dates and times of visits; (iii) page views and site navigation patterns; (iv) geolocation data; (v) links and URLs that refer visitors to our website; and (vi) other information regarding your interaction with our website.

Customer Service Information. We collect the communications that we exchange with you through online forms, by email, or over the phone.

Inferences. Based on the Personal Information described above, we may make certain inferences regarding your preferences, characteristics, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.

2. Why we collect it

Personal Information received from inquiries and/or event data is used by our admissions team to respond to you, schedule visits and calls, and follow up on next steps.

Personal Information received from analytics data helps us improve the website and understand what prospective families are looking for by analyzing how you interact and engage with our website.

3. Who has access and who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

4. Children's information

This website is intended for adults, prospective and current families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the public website. Information you share about your child as part of an admissions inquiry is used only for admissions and enrollment purposes.

5. Photos and media

AMS publishes photographs of children, classrooms, and school life on this website and in school publications. Photographs are taken and used in accordance with the photo release families sign at enrollment. Families with questions about their child's image should contact admissions at info@austinmontessori.org or (512) 892-0253.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for analytics (via Google Analytics) and to remember your preferences, such as the campus filter you choose on the calendar page. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as expected if you do.

7. Data retention

We keep inquiry data for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, follow up, and meet school records policies. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings.

8. Your rights

Your rights under the TDPSA and how to exercise them. Residents of Texas have certain rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), which may be exercised free of charge up to two times per year, provided that in cases where the requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of complying with the request or decline to comply with the request.

We are required to respond without undue delay, but within 45 days of receipt of your request. Depending on factors such as the type and complexity of the request, we may extend the time for response once for an additional 45 days, as long as we notify you within the original 45 days.

If we decline to take action regarding your request, we must notify you without undue delay, but within 45 days of receipt of the request, and provide information on our appeal process, including our justification, within a reasonable time after communicating the decision to decline.
