At Austin Montessori School, peace and social justice are the foundation of our work.

  • From the youngest children's community through to the adolescent community, we model respect for the child, including how to talk about issues cordially and courteously.

At Austin Montessori School, we provide children and adolescents with a safe space to be themselves, make choices, engage with one another through purposeful work, and communicate their needs while also being mindful of the needs of those impacted by their words and behavior. These formative experiences cultivate empathy, respect, compassion, and engagement. These are the building blocks of the peaceful revolution Dr. Maria Montessori envisioned.
