If you are considering our school as the place for your child and your family, our admissions process is simple. This step-by-step application guide will help you along the way.

  • 1. Fill in the inquiry form

    The Austin Montessori School application process is thorough and requires advanced planning and allocation of time. Your first contact with our school will be via the inquiry form.

  • 2. Connect with Us

    Upon submission of the inquiry form, please check your email for further information on how to schedule a call with our Admissions Team. An in-person school tour will be scheduled during the call.

  • 3. Attend Our Prospective Parent Education Events

    Prospective parents are invited to attend a series of events that will inform their decision of whether Austin Montessori School is the right fit for their child and family. Attendance at these events is required to complete the application process to orient families to the specifics of the program they are applying for.

  • 4. Apply Online

    We accept applications year-round for our Youngest Children's Community, Elementary, Children's House, and Adolescent programs.

    After submission, you can track the status of your application through each stage of the process.

    Click on the Apply Today button below.
    • Select the blue Create Account link to create a myAMS username and password.
    • After entering your necessary information, select the  Create Account button.
    • Once you receive a myAMS username and password, you will have access to complete the online application and monitor your child's progress through the admissions process.
    • A non-refundable $100 fee is required with each new application, including applications for siblings of students currently enrolled at the school.

    Please note:
    Our system may recognize you by your email address. If the system recognizes your email address, your email address will be highlighted in red after you press  Submit. If this occurs, select the Forgot Login button. You will then be prompted to enter your email address to receive an automatic reply containing your myAMS username and password.
  • 5. Schedule an In-Person Tour

    During your call with our Admissions Team, we will arrange a time for an in-person tour. Tours are for adults only; we are not able to accommodate children or adolescents on tours during school hours. An after-school time can be arranged for elementary and adolescent students who have been accepted into the school to tour the campuses. 
  • 6. Notification of the Enrollment Decision

    Enrollment into the Youngest Children's Community and Children's House is rolling. Enrollment decisions for each school year will be sent by email by the end of March of each year for the upcoming school year.
