20th Annual Austin Montessori School Fall Festival!

We can hardly believe it, but fall is here! Please save the date for the 20th Annual Austin Montessori School Fall Festival. This year’s festival will celebrate Diwali.

Join us for:
  • Cultural activities organized by the parents of each classroom community including Rangoli, Flower Garlands, Diya Painting, Paper Lanterns, Puppet Theater explaining the legend of Diwali with figures made by the Rainsong children, Dandiya stick decorating.
  • Live music by Third Eye - a trio comprising of saxophone, keyboard, and tabla. The band will perform music by John Coltrane and other American jazz musicians who incorporated some of the sounds of Indian music into their own.  
  • Bollywood Dancing by the faculty, parents, and children (Trust us, you won’t want to miss this!).
  • A rock climbing wall for older children.
  • An inflatable 18-foot slide for younger children.
  • Face Painting, courtesy of the Clay family.
  • Indian food by Dosa Shack.
  • Drinks and treats by Afuga Coffee.
  • A farm stand with produce and products created by the students in the Adolescent Community.
  • Popcorn and AMS swag by the Parents Association.

Entrance to this event is FREE. Food, beverages, and other merchandise will be available for purchase. 

The Fall Festival is an excellent opportunity for families from all three AMS campuses to unite as a community. Grandparents, primary caregivers, and alums are warmly welcome to attend. As much as we consider them part of the AMS family, please leave your pets at home.
